In March 2024, CEREMONY received a Digital Greenhouse Grant from Canada Council for the Arts to build a live language model with the conversation catalogue, allowing readers to participate in the creation of art via an interface designed with equity and accessibility in mind. The project aims to democratize digital tools, increase digital and data literacy through discussion, and pave the way for other creative and accessible AI applications within the artistic community.
We rarely expose process work as artists. is the documentation of meetings with foresight consultants, AI experts, as well as an accessibility advisory board. These pages will offer transparent insights, challenges, conflict resolution, and ethical discussions that the digital world poses.
Pages will be released as the project takes shape. I hope the transparency will encourage artists to venture into digital worlds they may be intimidated by or feel they do not have a voice in, and encourage engagement in new learning despite the potential for challenges along the way.
